Backend Developer C# .NET

    • Rotterdam, Netherlands
  • Development

Job description

Create, build, and develop complex FinTech solutions.

At VI Company, we conceptualize and build FinTech web apps and software. From the ground up, for leading clients in the financial domain. Think banks, investors, and pension funds. Alloq is one of VI Company’s products, a software solution for institutional portfolio managers at organisations like PGGM and Achmea. Thus, a complex domain. Having over 40 colleagues (of whom 20+ are developers), we understand the mastery and craftsmanship of software development. How about you?

As a C# .NET Developer at Alloq…

  • You write clean and testable C# code for the Alloq platform, processing complex calculations and data from multiple sources. You work closely with experienced developers on a product through which nearly €800 billion flows monthly.

  • You’ll work together with a multidisciplinary team towards a shared goal: delivering a high-quality portfolio management system. Our focus is very much on quality and security. Everything is extensively tested and checked before going live, always getting SonarQube A-scores ;).

  • You love to learn and develop yourself. Through collaborating with skilled seniors, or simply catching up during our FIFA lunches.

  • You are experienced with our tech stack, consisting of C# with ASP.NET Core, SQL Server and Azure DevOps, and are comfortable working in an Agile environment. Knowledge or interest in the financial market can be useful but is not a must; our team will happily teach you everything you need to know about this domain.

You'll work in two-week sprints, creating additional features and building custom solutions from scratch. You are involved in the full development cycle; from obtaining user requirements to configuring CI/CD pipelines.

5 boxes we tick

  • Salary up to €5000 per month plus a 13th-month, 8% holiday allowance, pension plan, travel coverage, and 25 vacation days (extra days can be purchased).

  • The freedom to arrange your own work-life balance with a workweek of 32/36/40 hours, flexible working hours, and hybrid working. And €750 to set up your home workplace.

  • A solid atmosphere and culture where development is central, more than 20 development colleagues and highly skilled seniors with a passion for their craft.

  • Laptop and all the other gear you need, weekly allocated self-study hours, annual training budget, and training days to keep your coding skills and knowledge up-to-date.

  • The autonomy and freedom to experiment and innovate with new tools, frameworks, or tech. To keep developing yourself, your colleagues, and VI Company.

Job requirements

5 boxes you tick (the more, the merrier)

  • You have 3 - 5 years of work experience and are experienced in (a large part of) our tech stack.

  • You continuously seek to improve your code. For example, by applying TDD/BDD, and DDD.

  • You can work independently, are eager to learn, and want to write high quality code.

  • You enjoy sharing knowledge, which may include writing articles or giving presentations.

  • You value social cohesion in the office as well as working from home. The idea of attending a team lunch, drinks, gaming sessions, or a VI activity sounds fun to you.
